Hi Care Partners, I hope you enjoy this podcast concerning BEHAVIORS. If you have known me for very long you will know that I don't like the word at all and feel like we misunderstand our loved ones and inappropriately medicate them when they are using cuss words or seem aggressive. In my experience, I can confirm for you that they are still trying very hard to communicate with you and frequently it is OUR challenge to be a great detective and to figure out what they are experiencing or needing instead of sedating them into submission with antipsychotics. We can be guilty, just because of our inexperience, of creating a monster with over correcting, finger wagging, and trying to control instead of joining them on their journey.
