Hello Care Partners, As we head into another Holiday Season it is good to be reminded of the many challenges headed our way in addition to many suggestions to navigate this season with grace for your person living with Dementia. This season can be overwhelming especially if we are trying to keep up with the way it has always been done in the past. Please take my advice and don't set yourself up for extra challenges and choose to step back and re-evaluate the season.

How do you celebrate the holiday? Do you need to continue as before and hope for the best? I hope NOT! Let's learn to pick our battles wisely and choose what needs to happen and what we can let go for now. Call a family meeting and delegate the responsibilities. Be brave and say no when you are asked for extra activities. It's a season but we need to take care of you and your loved one.
