S2 Ep10: Do They KNOW They Have Dementia?

Hello Care Partners, Self Awareness, when it comes to brain change, is an important topic all caregivers need to understand. Does your person know they have Dementia? My Mom did not know and might have raised a fist if you questioned her on it. I needed to understand what made her react in that way. I was determined to find the answers. Now, In my experience, I feel it is vital to learn to recognize the difference because the care plans are so very different. Today we are backing up to review some common signs and symptoms of Dementia then discuss the more prevalent diagnosis. Ultimately, I want you to be a great detective not a judge and be able to identify their awareness and join them on their journey.
